Pierce Command Rescues are a variation of the Walk-In unit. Rather than the roll up and hinged doors extending up 56”/57” on a Walk-In, the exterior compartments are lowered considerably to give the interior of the vehicle a wall-to-wall flat floor. The interior of these vehicles can resemble a small office or dispatch center on wheels and may feature:
- A primary location for command operations to organize, monitor, and provide incident management
- Overhead, wall and file cabinets for maximum interior-type storage
- Workstation and conference room bench seating for operators to remain at an incident for long periods of time
- Manpower transportation (SWAT) and/or surveillance
Slide-out modules are available at any of the four body locations (driver/passenger side, forward/aft of rear wheels). Rack access doors provide easy access to the back panels of the electronics racks. Cable conduits are recessed into the walls and ceilings and pass along the length of the body for future upgrade or expansion. Electrical and voice/data communications cables are separated for maximum gain and minimal EMI.
Command Rescues are also available in either aluminum or stainless steel. |
