give back

Doing the right thing.

Our industry is about giving back. This is why we love it. So here's how we join our customers in helping communities across the country.

Inspiration of a Child

A courageous 4-year old boy named Gage Cable has been an inspiration to us all at Pierce. Gage has eosinophillic esophagitis, a disease affecting his digestive system. And we found out he also loves Pierce fire trucks. Pierce flew Gage and his family to Appleton to see how we manufacture his favorite fire truck. We pulled out all of the stops and offered Gage the ultimate Pierce VIP experience.

National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF)

The United States Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to remember America's fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the tax-exempt, nonprofit foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor our fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers.

In 2009, Harley co-branded with Pierce Manufacturing to raise money for the NFFF by sponsoring a sweepstakes to win a custom, one-of-a-kind Harley-Davidson® Fat Boy® Firefighter Special Edition motorcycle and sell co-branded merchandise for which all proceeds went to NFFF. Pierce and Harley-Davidson Motor Company continue to support the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Together we raised a total of $275,000 in its NFFF Full Throttle Support Campaign by 2011.

Lurie Children’s Hospital features 288 beds in all-private rooms, increased space for clinical research and trauma care, and the capability to accommodate the newest advances in technology and equipment.
