The Boulder Fire-Rescue Department strives to make Boulder a safe place to live and work.  Answering nearly 12,000 calls per year, Boulder Fire-Rescue is trained to reduce human suffering caused by fires, accidents, sudden illnesses, hazardous material releases and other disasters. 

THE COMMUNITY

Boulder is a Colorado community of about 103,000 people in Boulder County. Nestled along the base of the Rocky Mountains and just thirty miles north of Denver, it was incorporated in 1871.

WHAT BROUGHT Boulder TO PIERCE?

The department needed a new pumper, but needed a short wheelbase because of the urban interface of the city.  More specifically, Boulder is home to the University of Colorado and is restricted to tight corners and narrow streets.  An Arrow XT™ pumper gives them the durability they need and control they deserve.

Final Inspection Visit

Boulder is excited to see their finished pumper.  On their pre-construction visit they noticed some different cab configurations on other trucks. Boulder decided to add a fifth seat by removing an EMS cabinet in their crew cab. Marc Faluotico is confident that this custom Arrow XT pumper is a perfect match for Boulder's urban interface, college campus, and transient population.
