Bellevue Fire Department

Meet Bellevue Fire Department

Their motto describes their commitment: "We do it all." At the time the department ordered this Pierce truck, they were a combination department with 29 active members. Chief Glenn Pritchard had served for over 25 years and his department responded to over 350 fire calls each year.

The Community

Bellevue is a Pennsylvania community of about eight thousand in Allegheny County. Resting right along the Ohio River adjoining Pittsburgh, it was incorporated in 1867.

WHAT BROUGHT Bellevue TO PIERCE?

The department needed a new aerial platform, but had height restrictions in their station. A mid-mount aerial device would give them the reach they needed and keep it below the roofline of their station.

"I started selling Pierce fire apparatus in 1998. I am retired from the Police Department after 24 years of service, but as a volunteer fire fighter since I was 16 years old, I have served in as EMT, Paramedic, Fire-fighter, Senior Medical Officer, Chief, and President of the Fire Company."
