Head and shoulders above the rest.

  • Electronic digital foam proportioning system improves responsiveness, reliability, and accuracy through a range of 75 PSI to 250 PSI.
  • Husky® is designed for Class A and B foams including high-viscosity, polar solvent class B foams (up to 6000 centipoise).
  • On-demand design ensures no foam is bypassed back to the foam tank or recirculated through the foam pump.
  • Foam systems are capable of using the vehicle's water tank, high-pressure hydrant or draft as a water source.
  • Foam systems can draft foam concentrate from an outside source, allowing extended foam operation.
  • Uses a lower electrical load, helping to create a lower-cost system that requires less power from the chassis, and prevents overloading during tough fire calls. Husky is the only municipal-market foam system with this feature.
  • The system shall properly proportion as low as 35 GPM at 0.3% for mop-up applications.
  • Warranty: Five years on the electronic controller and display head.

KEY SPECS

  • Hydraulic drive powered to avoid a heavy draw on the chassis electrical system.
  • Single point, direct injection, flow-based system using digital technology to indicate pump position and a flow meter.
  • Foam pump, brass construction, double acting cylinder.
  • Auxiliary foam pick-up with pick-up tube.
  • Display maintenance reminders, clean water strainer, clean foam strainer, change hydraulic fluid.
  • Automatic tank selector (dual tank system) so the system will choose the proper tank and percentage of injection when you switch between class A and class B.
  • The pump must produce 12 GPM at 250 PSI to allow use in high pressure applications.
  • Fully calibrated system will allow the system to be for the specific foam used at your department.

CAPACITY

  • 6% 200 GPM
  • 3% 400 GPM
  • 1% 1000 GPM (the maximum flow will depend on plumbing restrictions)
  • 0.5% 1000 GPM (the maximum flow will depend on plumbing restrictions)
  • 0.3% 1000 GPM (the maximum flow will depend on plumbing restrictions)

SAMPLE OPTIONS

  • Foam tank fill using the proportioner and foam pick-up tube to eliminate the need to drag foam pails to the top of the fire apparatus.
  • Integration with Pierce Hercules™ Compressed-air foam system.

SAFETY

  • Pierce® foam systems are much lighter than the heaviness of water weight in the hose and are easier to control and more effective, which means less injuries and health-related issues.
  • Experience quicker knockdown, resulting in less time spent at the fire and less fatigue.
  • Reduced water damage to the structure because only half the water is needed to extinguish the fire.
