A Dealer Built From Fire Service Experience
Reliant Fire Apparatus was founded by Scott Krueger, whose passion for the fire service began in 1978 as a volunteer firefighter and Pierce customer. His experience led him to join Pierce Manufacturing, where he spent eight years in sales and marketing roles. When the opportunity arose to establish a Pierce dealership in Southern Wisconsin, Scott seized it, founding Reliant Fire Apparatus.
His background and passion for the industry provided a strong foundation for the dealership, which prides itself on unquestionable integrity, honesty, technical knowledge and trust.
By embracing advanced technologies and providing quick, efficient service backed by a 24-hour hotline, Reliant ensures departments can rely on their apparatus, and their dealer, without hesitation.
Service Infrastructure Designed for Uptime
Reliant’s growth has been matched by continued investment in service infrastructure. What began as a Wisconsin-based home office evolved into a 10,000 square foot headquarters facility, with six service bays supporting administration, sales and service operations.
Reliant has since expanded with a 16,000 square foot service facility in Des Moines, Iowa, and in 2025, a new facility in Wixom, Michigan.
Supported by Pierce’s technical expertise and parts network, Reliant’s service team is committed to being there when customers need them most. From on-site mobile response to comprehensive in-shop repairs, service support is centered on reducing downtime and ensuring departments can serve their communities without interruption.

I’ve been truly honored to be part of a truck committee for the past 18 years, producing some of our most innovative vehicles in the fire department. Reliant has played an important role in helping design and build what was and still is needed in Iowa City. The City, along with the Fire Service, is always growing with new challenges to plan for when designing trucks. While making many trips to the Pierce factory, the Krueger Family has always taken care of customers' needs and wants while maintaining a professional team approach.
