Pierce Stock Truck Program: Fire Apparatus

Have you ever considered buying a stock truck rather than creating a build-to-order?

While built-to-order units allow you to customize your fire apparatus to a high degree, the Pierce® Stock Truck Program offers the most popular chassis configurations and options with quicker delivery and competitive pricing.

Below, we review the characteristics of ideal stock truck candidates and walk through the main benefits of the Pierce® Stock Truck Program your department should consider before your next fire truck purchase.

Ideal Stock Truck Candidate

Whether you're facing an urgent replacement need or find a stock unit that fits your must-have specs, the program offers a smart, streamlined path to deployment. Pierce has also helped departments when they’ve faced:

  • A short expenditure window with grant funding.
  • Fire truck damage due to an accident or collision.
  • High aging apparatus maintenance costs

Whatever the case, the Stock Program provides an efficient path to quality apparatus, without the wait.

Bellingham Fire Department in Massachusetts recently spoke on the Pierce Dispatch™ Podcast about their experience with the Pierce Stock Truck Program. After one of its fire trucks was damaged in an accident, Pierce’s Stock Truck Program helped the department replace critical apparatus in record time, without compromising on performance or reliability.

“The stock truck has surpassed all of our expectations for anything that we could have even customized…” — Zack Spencer, Bellingham Fire Department

Pierce stock units are well laid out, equipped with the latest innovations and most importantly, quickly available to you.

Stock Truck Financing

Through the Pierce Financial Solutions Program, PNC Equipment Finance provides the industry’s most extensive line of lease plans making it easier to get behind the wheel of a Pierce, including Pierce Stock Trucks. Ask your local Pierce dealer for more information on leasing.

Quick Availability

The Stock Truck Program offers a quick delivery time of six (6) months or less because the units are already in process or complete when sold. Your Pierce sales representative doesn’t have to put together a proposal file because it already exists.

Pierce’s monthly stock list shows units in process as well as completed units. Pierce can accommodate minor changes to units in process.

If the stock truck is complete, you can take immediate delivery of the unit as is. If changes are desired to a completed stock truck, we can work collaboratively between the Pierce team and your sales representative through your local Pierce dealership to determine how best to move forward to help support modifications where possible.
